Peter Doyle is a military historian and geologist with extensive expertise in the understanding and application of terrain in warfare, particularly during the two world wars. As a fellow of the Royal Historical Society, Peter has focused on trench warfare and the material culture of war. With over thirty years in higher education, research, and industry, Peter currently serves as an editor for Geology Today and Lethaia, and holds the title of Professor Emeritus at London South Bank University. Additionally, Peter has been engaged as a military historian and author since 2003.
