Robert Heath

Robert Heath serves as the Editor in Chief at Wiley, overseeing various editorial roles including Senior Editor for Current Protocols and Journal Publishing Manager for Cell and Molecular Biology since April 2020. Prior to this, Robert founded ThinkBiome, a consumer-facing wellness company, and worked as an Academic Editor at Research Square from January 2019 to April 2020. Robert's research experience includes positions as a Research Scientist and Post-Doctoral Associate at the Broad Institute, focusing on genetics related to IBD and Type 1 Diabetes, and as a Research Fellow at Massachusetts General Hospital, specializing in innate immunity and host-pathogen interactions. Robert holds a Ph.D. in Molecular Cell Biology from the University of Birmingham and a B.Sc. (Hons) in Genetics and Molecular Biology from the University of Wolverhampton.
