Patrick Burgess

Patrick Burgess has a diverse work experience that spans multiple roles and industries. Patrick started their career in 2011 as a Construction Assistant at Cuba Township, where they worked until 2013. In 2014, they joined the Center for Smart Grid Applications Research and Technology as a Project Manager and stayed until 2017. In 2015, Patrick joined Willdan as a Senior Energy Development Engineer, specializing in smart city solutions. Patrick progressed within the company and held the position of Director from 2021 to 2022. Currently, they serve as the Vice President at Willdan, focusing on business, client, market, and community development in Southern California and the LA Metro market, providing decarbonization and energy-saving strategies to customers. Patrick's work experience showcases their expertise in construction, project management, and energy development.

Patrick Burgess completed their Master's of Science in Electrical Engineering at the Illinois Institute of Technology from 2020 to 2022. Prior to that, they pursued a degree in Electrical Engineering / Engineering Management at the same institution from 2012 to 2015, specializing in Smart Grid and Microgrid. Patrick began their higher education at the College of Lake County, where they studied Engineering Associates from 2010 to 2012.
