Randall Metz

Randall Metz, MPA, EFO, CFO, FM, MIFireE, serves as the Fire Marshal for the City of Carlsbad since February 2015 and also holds the position of Fire Marshal at Willdan. In addition, Randall is actively involved with the International Code Council as a Director on the Board of Directors and has held various roles including Committee Member, Chair, and Chapter President. Randall's extensive experience includes previous roles as Deputy Fire Marshal at CAL FIRE and Battalion Chief - Fire Marshal for the City of Moreno Valley. With a robust educational background, Randall holds a Master's in Public Administration from California Baptist University, an Executive Fire Officer Program from the National Fire Academy, and several other relevant degrees and certificates in fire technology and management. Additionally, Randall has contributed to various fire association boards, including the San Diego County Fire Chiefs Association and the California Fire Chiefs Association.
