Christopher Thonis

Christopher Thonis has a diverse work experience spanning across different companies and roles. Christopher is currently serving as the Head of Equities Marketing & Media Relations at William Blair since June 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Golin starting from April 2017 until June 2022, holding the positions of SVP, Executive Director - Media Relations, and later VP, Director - Media Relations. From December 2015 to April 2017, they worked at Ogilvy Public Relations as an Account Director and previously as an Account Supervisor from March 2014 to December 2015. Before that, they were the Director of PR at Abe's Market from November 2012 to February 2014. Christopher also had a significant role as Managing Partner and Media Relations Director at Fabric Media from January 2008 to November 2012. Christopher's earlier experience includes working as a Communications Assistant at ManiaTV! in 2007 and as a Senior Sales Consultant at Omni Financial - Tax Debt Resolution from April 2005 to August 2006.

Christopher Thonis earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Communication and Media Studies from the University of Colorado Boulder, where they attended from 2000 to 2004. Christopher also participated in an abroad program called "Semester At Sea / ISE" in 2003. Furthermore, Christopher holds certifications in Series 7 and Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) from FINRA, obtained in 2023 and 2022 respectively.
