Tom Shipp is a seasoned communications professional with extensive experience in media relations and campaign management. Currently serving as the Senior Communications Manager for Group Sustainability at Willmott Dixon since January 2023, Tom leads a small team responsible for managing internal and external communications activities for the Environment department. Prior to this role, Tom served as Media and Strategic Communications Manager at ECITB from July 2017 to December 2022, and held the position of Communications Account Manager at Hertfordshire County Council from September 2007 to July 2017. Tom's career also includes roles as Senior Press and Communications Officer at Herts and Essex Newspapers and Senior Reporter at Guardian News & Media. Educational qualifications include a Master of Arts in Communication and Media Studies from the University of Illinois Chicago and a Bachelor of Arts in Media Studies from the University of Sussex, along with a National Certificate Exam in Newspaper Journalism from NCTJ Harlow College.
