Willow
Josh Makower is a medical doctor, bioengineer, and entrepreneur. Josh is the founder and chairman of Willow, a medical and health technology incubator. Josh is also a professor of medicine and bioengineering at Stanford University, and the director and co-founder of the Stanford Byers Center for Biodesign.
Makower has over 26 years of experience in the medical device industry. Josh has founded or co-founded several companies, including ExploraMed Development, LLC, Revelle Aesthetics, Inc., Lungpacer Medical Inc., Allay Therapeutics, SetPoint Medical, Eargo, DOTS Devices, Inc., Willow Pump, Coravin, Moximed, NeoTract, Nuelle, Vibrynt, Acclarent, TransVascular, EndoMatrix. Josh has also served on the board of directors for several companies, including Pfizer and Stanford University School of Medicine.
Makower received their MD from Stanford University School of Medicine and their BS in bioengineering from UC Berkeley.
Josh Makower has a B.S. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Mechanical Engineering, an M.B.A. from Columbia University's Columbia Business School in Business Administration and Management, and a Doctor of Medicine from New York University School of Medicine. Josh also has a degree in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University.
