Dave Thomson has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Dave began their career as a Consultant/Application Support at the University of Alberta Computing Services, where they provided customer support for mainframe and PC applications.

Dave then worked as a Software Engineer at Datek Industries, where they designed and developed real-time multitasking software and created protocols for device interface problems.

After that, Dave joined Willowglen Systems as a Project Engineer, managing engineering projects and implementing hardware and software solutions. Dave later became the VP of Software Development and Director of Software Development Support at ACI Worldwide, where they supervised and coordinated multiple departments and improved software delivery processes.

Dave also worked as the President and CEO of their own consulting firm, Dave Thomson Consulting Inc., providing engineering expertise and developing commercial products for corporate clients.

Dave then served as the VP of Professional Services at Trakware Systems, where they managed an implementation team and improved client business processes.

Dave's next role was as the VP of Engineering and Corporate Director at Network Telsys, where they advised on corporate strategy and managed engineering projects. Dave also developed various systems, including email to fax subsystems and credit card processing systems.

Prior to their current role, Dave worked at Willowglen Systems Inc. as a Solutions Architect, QA Manager, and IT Manager. Currently, they are a Senior Solutions Architect at Willowglen Systems.

Dave Thomson attended the University of Alberta from 1981 to 1985, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering.
