Stephen McDonnell has worked for two companies in their career. Stephen started off working at Xerox in December 2007 as a Sales and Solutions Executive and worked there until November 2011. Stephen then moved on to Wilmac in October 2011 as a Territory Sales Manager and worked there until August 2013. Subsequently, they were promoted to the role of Financial Compliance Solutions Manager and worked in that position until June 2020. In June 2020, they became the Vice President of Sales, USA, which they held until October 2022. Currently, they are the President & CEO of Wilmac, a position they have held from November 2022.

Stephen McDonnell attended Fairport Senior High School from 2000 to 2002. Stephen then went on to study at University at Buffalo in 2002, but it is unclear whether they obtained a degree or field of study. From 2003 to 2007, Stephen attended SUNY Geneseo where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Management, General.
