David Renton

David Renton has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries. Currently, they hold the position of Chief Operating Officer at WIN Reality, a company that utilizes technology to enhance baseball players' skills. David joined the company in March 2023.

Prior to that, David served as an Advisor at Nix Biosensors starting from March 2023. David also had a role as the Interim COO & CTO at the same company from September 2022 to February 2023.

David also worked as an Advisor at Clippd from July 2022, and they founded Ramp Services in the same year.

In terms of their earlier roles, David was an Advisor and Chief Operating Officer at Zwift from June 2022 to November 2022 and from June 2017 to May 2022, respectively.

Before entering the tech industry, David honed their expertise at Goldman Sachs, where they served as a VP and Senior Engineer in the Technology division. David worked there from April 2011 to May 2017, developing a next-generation compute platform that drastically improved the understanding of the firm's balance sheet and finance division calculations.

Prior to Goldman Sachs, David worked at Sakonnet Technology, where they held multiple roles including Vice President of Product Delivery, Director of Program Management, Manager of Server and Infrastructure Development, and Senior Engineer, spanning from September 2003 to December 2010.

David started their career at Winmill Software as a Consultant, rapidly advancing to the position of Professional Services Manager. During their time there, they led the design and implementation of a multi-vendor connectivity platform for clients like Yahoo!, Orbitz, and Expedia's cruise offerings. David also worked on various development projects and taught public courses for HTML/JSP/Servlet/J2EE development.

It is evident that David Renton has held significant leadership and advisory positions throughout their career, demonstrating their expertise in technology, product delivery, and operations.

David Renton earned a BA with Honors in Physics from Harvard University, completing their education in 1998. In 2007, they pursued further education at the MIT Sloan School of Management, specializing in Executive Education. David completed the program and obtained certifications in "Managing Technical Professionals and Organizations," "Developing and Managing a Successful Product Strategy," and "Fundamentals of Finance for the Technical Executive." David Renton also obtained additional certifications, including "MIT Center for Transportation & Logistics: Supply Chain Dynamics," "MIT Center for Transportation & Logistics: Supply Chain Design," and "MIT Center for Transportation & Logistics: Supply Chain Technology and Systems" from Massachusetts Institute of Technology | edX. In 2020, they obtained the "Bystander Training: From Bystander to Upstander" certification from LinkedIn, and in 2015, they acquired the "edX Verified Certificate for Introduction to Big Data with Apache Spark" from edX.
