Luis Matias is a seasoned technical professional with extensive experience in avionics software engineering and embedded systems. Currently a Senior Member of Technical Staff at Wind River since July 2018, Luis specializes in debugging avionics drivers and integrating Intel Board Support Packages for VxWorks platforms. Previous roles include Advance Lead Avionics Software Engineer at GE Aviation and a Senior Member of Technical Staff at Wind River, focusing on software requirements, design, and testing. Earlier experience includes roles as an Embedded Software Consultant and Field Applications Engineer at Integrated Systems, Inc., as well as a Senior Software Engineer at Eastman Kodak, where Luis developed control software for copiers. Luis began a career in academia as a Physics Instructor and Lab Supervisor at the University of Puerto Rico, following educational accomplishments that include a Master of Science in Physics/Astronomy and a Bachelor of Science in Physics, both from the University of Puerto Rico-Mayaguez.
