Ramin Omid is an experienced embedded software engineer with a strong background in developing operating system software and virtualization solutions. Currently, Ramin has been a Member of Technical Staff at Wind River since October 2008, contributing to various teams, including the CoreOS Team, VxWorks Secure and Safety Team, and Hypervisor Integration Team, focusing on compliance with IEC-61508 and DO-178C standards for industrial and airborne systems. Ramin also has a history of designing software for routers and WAN/LAN interfaces from previous roles at Nortel Networks and Tasman Networks. Ramin holds a Master's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Utah State University and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Science and Technology in Tehran, Iran.
