Randy MacLeod

Randy MacLeod is a seasoned technical expert with extensive experience in software design and development, particularly in Linux-based systems and real-time applications. Since July 2010, Randy has served as a Senior Member of Technical Staff at Wind River, leading a global team responsible for the annual release of the WR Linux operating system. Prior to this role, Randy held various positions at Nortel from 2000 to 2010, including Kernel Software Designer and Real-time Software Designer, where contributions involved high-availability software and large-scale embedded systems. Earlier career experiences include roles as a DAQ Physicist at Jefferson Lab and Lawrence Berkeley Labs, along with software design roles at QNX and AECL, showcasing a solid foundation in nuclear physics and software development. Randy possesses a Master’s degree in Nuclear Physics from Queen's University and a Bachelor’s degree in Physics from Carleton University.
