Laura Cerca

Laura Cerca has extensive work experience in the telecommunications industry, spanning over 26 years. Laura began their career as a senior engineer at Telemate, a subsidiary of France Telecom, where they worked from 1994 to 1999. Then, they joined Wind, where they served as the Network Quality Manager for eight years, focusing on mobile quality of service monitoring and benchmarking. In 2008, Laura moved to WIND Telecomunicazioni S.P.A., assuming the role of PMO for corporate activities within Network Operations. From 2013 onwards, they worked at Wind Tre, initially as a Procurement Category Manager, responsible for negotiating prices and purchasing new equipment, materials, and services. Currently, Laura holds the position of Head of Network Core & Transport Procurement, leading the procurement function and overseeing the purchase process.

Laura Cerca began their education at Università Politecnica delle Marche, where they obtained a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in engineering from 1987 to 1993. Laura then attended the University of Bath in 1993, where they earned a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree specializing in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering. In 1994, Laura attended INSA de Rennes in France for a stage in microwave engineering. It is also worth noting that Laura obtained the Cambridge Advanced Exam (CAE) certification, although specific details such as the institution and the year of acquisition are unavailable.
