Nikki Gmerek

Nikki Gmerek has a diverse range of work experience. Nikki most recently worked as a Manufacturing Manager at WindBorne Systems starting in February 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Eaton starting in August 2019. At Eaton, they held various roles including Production Manager from December 2021 to February 2023, Senior Product Engineer from September 2020 to December 2021, and Field Service Engineer from August 2019 to September 2020.

Before joining Eaton, Nikki worked at Cal Poly Associated Students, Inc. Nikki held the position of Audio Visual Student Manager from September 2018 to June 2019, where they managed a team of 20 technicians and developed documentation for cross collaboration. Prior to that, they were an Audio Visual Technician II from March 2017 to September 2018 and an Audio Visual Technician Assistant from April 2015 to March 2017.

In addition to their other roles, Nikki also worked at The DC House Project from May 2016 to June 2019 as a Team Member. During this time, they worked on designing and building a house that ran completely on direct current, with the goal of bringing power to people off the grid.

Nikki's work experience also includes a summer internship at Southern California Edison (SCE) in 2018, where they worked as a T&D Grid Modernization Summer Intern.

Overall, Nikki has gained experience in manufacturing management, production engineering, field service, audiovisual management, and innovative green energy projects throughout their career.

Nikki Gmerek obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo, where they studied from 2014 to 2019.
