Erna Balk

Erna Balk is an experienced communications professional with a diverse background in both the academic and non-profit sectors. Currently serving as an International Communications Consultant at Windesheim, a prestigious University of Applied Sciences in the Netherlands since June 2016, Erna previously held significant roles in various organizations, including Director of Advocacy and Communications at the TuBerculosis Vaccine Initiative, where responsibilities included strategic communications, media relations, and project management. Erna's career also includes positions as a Corporate Communications Advisor at Wageningen University and Research Centre, Head of Public Relations at ID-Lelystad, and several economics policy advisory roles within the Dutch Ministry of Agriculture. Erna holds a degree in Strategic Communication from SRM Amsterdam and a degree from the Horticultural University of Applied Sciences.
