Jan de Groot

Jan de Groot is a seasoned professional in information sciences with a robust career spanning over two decades. Currently serving as a Lecturer in Information Sciences and a researcher at the Digital Business & Society Research Group at Windesheim since February 2019, Jan has previously held significant roles including IT Architect and Security Officer at Cogas, and a member of the Energy ISAC at NCSC-NL. With extensive experience in ICT architecture and security across various organizations, including a notable tenure at Provincie Overijssel, Jan has been instrumental in several key developments such as the implementation of IPv6 and the introduction of DNS and DHCP hardening. Jan holds a Master of Science in Digital Investigation and Forensic Computing from University College Dublin and a Bachelor of Science in Business Information Technology from Windesheim, showcasing a solid educational foundation that underpins a passion for enhancing organizational privacy and security.
