Ben Leape

Vice President of Business Development at Windlift

Ben Leape has a diverse work experience, starting in 2011 with their role as an Intelligence Officer in the United States Marine Corps. From 2012 to 2014, they served as a Scout Sniper Platoon Commander in the same organization. In 2014, they joined the U.S. Marine Corps Forces Special Operations Command (MARSOC) as a Direct Support Team Officer in Charge, leading a team of 22 intelligence professionals in combat operations. From 2016 to 2018, Ben worked as an Exercise Intelligence Director at MARSOC, identifying tactical opportunities with strategic impacts and earning national level unit awards. In 2019, they transitioned to the role of Defense Fellow and later became a Liaison Officer in the United States Senate. As of 2022, Ben Leape holds the position of Vice President of Business Development at Windlift.

Ben Leape completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in International Relations at the United States Naval Academy from 2006 to 2010. Then, from 2018 to 2020, they pursued a Master of Public Policy (MPP) degree at the George Mason University - Schar School of Policy and Government. Currently, they are attending the Cornell Johnson Graduate School of Management, pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from 2020 to 2022.
