John Barakett has over 25 years of experience in sales and business development. John began their career in 1996 as a Sales Representative for GTE. In 2001, they joined Verizon Wireless as a Major Account Manager, where they were responsible for acquiring and retaining corporate liable accounts. John was later promoted to Enterprise Data Sales Manager- Healthcare and was tasked with deploying new mobility product and service offerings for multiple O.S. environments within the Healthcare and Life Sciences vertical. In 2013, they moved to XRS Corporation as a Regional Sales Manager. John then joined FPX in 2014 as a Channel Partner Manager, where they were responsible for developing partners within the regions to significantly increase partner revenue. In 2015, they joined Cedarome Canada Inc. as a Business Development Manager, and Boisset Collection as a Senior Director. In 2018, they joined Check Point Software Technologies, Ltd. as a Global Account Manager. John currently works at Winebars as a National Sales Manager, and is also a Licensed Real Estate Professional at Coldwell Banker.
John Barakett has a diverse educational background. John began their studies in 1975 at NDV, followed by Riordan High School from 1986 to 1987. John then attended San Diego State University from 1989 to 1991, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Management, General. John continued their education at California State University-Sacramento from 1990 to 1993, where they earned a BS in Business Administration. In addition, John has obtained several certifications from Check Point Software Technologies, Ltd. including "Stay Home Stay Secured" (2020), "Check Point INFINITY Architecture Specialist" (2019), "Cloud Sales Ninja" (2020), "Trusted Advisor (Champion) - Cyber Security Education" (2020), and "Security Beyond the Perimeter – Sales Certification" (2019).
