Liz Mathews

Liz Mathews has a strong background in the wine industry, with extensive experience in brand management, sales, and general management. Liz has held various leadership positions at Winebow, including Senior Vice President of Portfolio Management for Winebow Imports and Senior Vice President and General Manager for Craft + Estate. In these roles, they led teams, developed and executed strategies for global brands, and successfully managed acquisitions and rehabilitation projects. Prior to their time at Winebow, they co-founded and managed a profitable wine import start-up called INDIGENOUS Selections. Liz has also held positions at Az AGR LA SPINETTA S.S., Opici Wines, and Wine Watch. Throughout their career, Liz Mathews has demonstrated their ability to drive success, deliver operational cost savings, and cultivate a culture of learning and improvement.

Liz Mathews completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree at the University of Virginia Darden School of Business from 2020 to 2022. Liz holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in International Relations, with a minor in Spanish, from Boston University. Liz also obtained additional certification in the Advanced - Level 3 with Distinction from the Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) in 2006. Liz has pursued further education in wine through programs such as the Advanced Mastery of Wine Program at Florida International University and Introduction to Winemaking: Viticulture and Enology at the University of California, Davis.
