Kari Scott has a diverse work experience in the wine industry. Kari began their career as a Catering Server at Mission Hill Family Estate Winery, where they managed teams and executed various events. Kari then worked as an Assistant Manager at Nixon Hospitality Group Inc., where they handled orders, created schedules, and initiated employee education sessions. Kari later joined Culmina Family Estate Winery as a Direct to Consumer Sales and Marketing Coordinator. After that, they served as a Wine Club Manager at Little Engine Wines, managing all aspects of the Direct-To-Consumer business and coordinating wine club shipments. In 2020, Kari started their own business, Kari Scott, where they specialized in DTC ECommerce and Wine Club Management services for Okanagan wineries. Currently, they work at WineDirect, initially as a Community Manager, connecting with clients through social media and virtual events. Kari then transitioned into the role of Marketing Manager, representing the Voice of the Customer and sharing client feedback internally.
Kari Scott attended UBC Faculty of Management from 2012 to 2016, during which time they did not obtain a specific degree or field of study. Simultaneously, they also pursued a Bachelor of Management degree with a specialization in Project Management at the University of British Columbia Okanagan, completing it in 2016. Additionally, Kari obtained a WSET Level 2 certification from the Wine & Spirit Education Trust, without specifying the start and end years. To further enhance their professional skills, they completed the "Becoming an Impactful and Influential Leader" course from LinkedIn in March 2022, and obtained an SEO certification from HubSpot Academy in June 2022.
