Nan Kavanaugh has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Nan started their career in 2011 as an Educator at Douglas Anderson School of the Arts. From there, they worked as an Editor at Beson4 Media Group and Times-Union Media, First Coast Media Group, Magazines. In 2014, Nan became an Editor at Hestia Press and then joined MOCA Jacksonville in 2017 as the Director of Communications and Marketing. Nan left MOCA Jacksonville in 2021 and joined El Jefe Tex-Mex as the Marketing and Communications Manager. Nan also worked as a Senior Communications and Public Relations Manager at Wingard. Currently, they are a Co-author at Southern Cooking, Global Flavors. Throughout their career, Nan has demonstrated their expertise in marketing, communications, editing, and education.

Nan Kavanaugh obtained a Bachelor's Degree in English with a concentration in Creative Writing from the University of North Carolina Asheville. Nan then pursued a Master's Degree in English Literature with a specialization in Composition and Rhetoric from the University of North Florida.
