Jasper Ellis has a diverse work experience in the field of technology. Jasper started their career as an Intern at AdaCore, where they created test applications for GTK and assisted with testing and building interfaces.
Jasper then worked as an Instructor at iD Tech Camps, teaching programming and exposing students to various tech concepts. Jasper taught Java and Scratch to encourage creative thinking and troubleshooting.
Jasper also worked as a Lead Instructor at iD Tech Camps, where they taught programming to children and was responsible for staff organization and student safety.
At UMass Dartmouth, they served as a Mentor/Grader, tutoring sophomores in computer-related subjects and managing a team as a Scrum Master & Software Developer. They designed and implemented an Automated Show Control System for KALENT Productions.
Jasper also worked as a Freelance Web Developer, building and maintaining a website for an installation artist in Seattle. Jasper used HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to create unique website designs.
Currently, Jasper is a Software Engineer at Wingbrace, where they develop features for a web-app using HTML, CSS, Vue.js, Python, and Flask. Their focus is on data management and visualization.
Throughout their work experience, Jasper has consistently demonstrated strong technical abilities and a passion for teaching and mentoring others in technology.
Jasper Ellis completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, from the year 2013 to 2018. Prior to that, they attended Newton South High School from 2008 to 2012. In addition to their academic qualifications, they obtained certification in CPR, First Aid Adult and Pediatric from the Red Cross Blood Services in March 2017.
