Fred Cai

Fred Cai has extensive work experience in the maritime industry. Fred currently works as an Operation Support Engineer at WinGD – Winterthur Gas & Diesel since December 2021. Prior to that, they worked as a Service Engineer at Goltens Worldwide from May 2018 to November 2021. Before joining Goltens, Fred Cai worked at Wärtsilä China as a Service Engineer from March 2007 to June 2017. In this role, they were responsible for main engine dry docking, voyage repair, and modification works on vessels. Fred'stasks included fuel injection pump overhauling, timing adjustment, cam and roller replacement, and inspection and replacement of main bearings, cross head bearings, connecting-rod bearings, and thrust bearings. Fred also gained relevant experience in unit overhauling and troubleshooting. Prior to their role at Wärtsilä, Fred Cai worked as a Fitter/Pump man at China Shipping Oil Tank Ltd from September 1997 to February 2007.

Fred Cai obtained an Associate's degree in Spare-time from the Shanghai Vocational College of union management between 2008 and 2011. Prior to that, they pursued a Master of Technology (M.Tech.) degree in Shanghai Marine Technical School from 1994 to 1997.
