Gabriele Pisetta

Development Engineer Measurement Technology at WinGD

Gabriele Pisetta has a diverse work experience in engineering and research roles. Gabriele is currently working as a Development Engineer Measurement Technology at WinGD – Winterthur Gas & Diesel since July 2022. Prior to that, they worked as an Intern in Applied Research & Measurements at the same company from October 2021 to June 2022.

Gabriele's previous experience includes working as a PhD Researcher at the University of Edinburgh School of Engineering from October 2017. Their research focused on developing an intelligent blade for tidal turbines to alleviate fatigue loads. Gabriele also worked as a Tutor and Demonstrator at the university during the same period.

In 2020, Gabriele worked as a Researcher at the University of Edinburgh, where they investigated the effectiveness of face coverings in mitigating virus transmission. Gabriele conducted experiments to study air flow and respiratory droplet deposition using different face covers.

Before their research roles, Gabriele worked as a Postgraduate Research Student at the Wind & Marine Energy Systems & Structures CDT from October 2016 to October 2017. Gabriele gained specialized knowledge and leadership skills in wind and marine energy systems.

Additionally, Gabriele has experience working as a Waiter and Barman at Hotel ristorante Sindec for a brief period in 2016.

Gabriele Pisetta completed their education at the Politecnico di Milano. From 2010 to 2013, they earned a Bachelor's degree, known as a Laurea triennale, in the field of Ingegneria aerospaziale, aeronautica e astronautica/spaziale. Following this, from 2013 to 2016, they pursued further studies and obtained a Master's degree, known as Laurea Magistrale, in the same field of study, which is Ingegneria aerospaziale, aeronautica e astronautica.
