Thomas Lutz has extensive work experience in the engineering field. Thomas started their career in 2006 at Alstom Power, where they worked as a Design Engineer for generators until 2008. Thomas then transitioned to the role of Blade Design Development Engineer, a position they held until 2015. In 2015, they joined GE Power as a Mechanical Component Engineer, specializing in Steam Turbines and CT Blades. Their time at GE Power lasted until 2018. Currently, Thomas is working at WinGD - Winterthur Gas & Diesel as a Development Engineer for Ancillary Systems, starting in August 2020.
Thomas Lutz began their education in 1998 at msw-winterthur, where they pursued a degree in Polymechaniker EFZ. Thomas completed their studies in 2002. In 2002, they enrolled at ZHAW Winterthur and graduated in 2005 with a degree in Dipl. Masch. Ing. FH, specializing in Allgemeiner Maschinenbau.
