Magdalena Tor possesses extensive experience in social work and advocacy, particularly in the areas of domestic violence and sexual assault. Currently serving as a House Advocate at WINGS Program, Inc. since December 2018, Magdalena empowers survivors by providing safe housing, crisis intervention, education, and safety planning. Previous roles include Social Work Intern at Rush University Medical Center, Transitional Support Program with Advocate Aurora Health, and work at Pillars Community Health, where responsibilities involved managing a domestic violence hotline and offering crisis support. Magdalena's educational background includes a Master of Social Work from Jane Addams College of Social Work at UIC and a Bachelor's degree in Applied Psychology from the University of Illinois Chicago.
