Mark Slonka

Mark Slonka MBA has a diverse work experience in finance and administration roles. Mark started their career at LaSalle Bank as a Senior Financial Analyst, where they provided analytical and problem-solving support to the retail mortgage line of business. Mark then moved to Bank of America as a Finance Officer, where they played a vital role in generating increased loan origination volume and improving operating margins.

After that, Mark joined Tovar Snow Professionals as a Controller and later became the VP of Finance and Administration. In these roles, they oversaw accounting functions, coordinated the annual budgeting process, and managed a team responsible for AP, AR, month-end close process, management reporting, and collections.

Next, Mark worked at Metalmaster Roofmaster as a Controller, leading accounting operations such as payroll, cash flow management, job cost accounting, and analysis. Mark successfully managed the conversion of the accounting system and implemented fraud prevention measures.

Currently, Mark is the Vice President of Financial Planning Analysis at Wintrust Financial Corporation. Mark is responsible for providing financial planning, analysis, and support for the mortgage unit, including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and ad hoc analysis. Mark leads a team of 4 and actively contributes to the annual budgeting process.

Throughout their career, Mark has demonstrated strong leadership skills, project management capabilities, and the ability to support management decision-making through insightful financial analysis.

Mark Slonka holds a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Marketing from Northern Illinois University and a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Finance from Roosevelt University. Mark further pursued their education at Lake Forest Graduate School of Management, where they obtained a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree with a specialization in Finance and Financial Management Services. Prior to their undergraduate studies, Mark Slonka completed their College Prep at James B Conant High School.
