Maja Summers

Maja Summers currently serves as the Director of Strategic Accounts and Network Solutions at WIOCC, a position held since October 2025. Prior to this role, Maja spent nearly a decade at Vodafone as the Senior Submarine Commercial Manager within Vodafone Carrier Services. Academic contributions include serving as a Visiting Professor in the Principles of Engineering Design at the University of Surrey from July 2011 to January 2019. Maja has extensive industry experience, having held roles such as Sales & Marketing Director and Operations Director at Apollo Submarine Cable System, and Head of Submarine Systems Engineering at Cable&Wireless Worldwide. Maja holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Telecommunications from the University of Belgrade and a PhD from London South Bank University.
