Toby Maurice, MENG, PMP, PENG, is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in engineering and intellectual property. As a co-founder of Wipebook since December 2013, Toby has focused on operations and development. In addition, Toby serves as a Patent Examiner at CIPO, a position held since January 2004. Previous roles include a Software Designer at Alcatel, a Systems Engineer at Sun Microsystems, and an Engineer at Scientific Drilling. Toby holds a Master’s degree in Engineering Management from the University of Ottawa, a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Carleton University, and a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Ottawa.

Wipebook
The Wipebook team was created on a late Tuesday evening in February, 2013, in an entrepreneurship course at that University of Ottawa. The MBA professor asked his class to form groups, with the primary objective of coming up with a business model that could be validated over the ensuing 6 weeks of the course. Little did we know that three monthslater over 100 Wipebooks units would be sold; exclusively by word of mouth.
