Damien Simonis

Damien Simonis is the Head of the English Translation Section at the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), where they are responsible for revision, translation, précis-writing, and editing. Previously, Damien worked as a Reviser at the United Nations from 2018 to 2020, and held the positions of Translator and Precise-writer with the United Nations Office at Geneva from 2009 to 2014. They also served as an Editor for the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia from 2014 to 2017. Prior to their UN roles, Damien was a Writer and Photographer for Lonely Planet Publications from 1992 to 2009. They earned a BA (Hons) in Languages from the University of Melbourne in 1989.
