Jonathon Turner is a QA Manager and Senior Metallurgical Engineer at WireCo WorldGroup, where they have worked since 2020, responsible for the design, production, testing, and certification of domestically produced plain carbon steel wire. With over 10 years of production experience in the steel industry, they effectively combine leadership and technical skills, utilizing lean six sigma tools to enhance throughput, reduce waste, and improve product quality. Prior to their current role, Jonathon served as a Quality Assurance Metallurgical Engineer at WireCo from 2013 to 2020 and completed an internship at Severstal NA in 2012. Jonathon holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Metallurgical Engineering from Missouri University of Science and Technology, graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2013, and currently chairs the A05.12 Subcommittee on Wire Specifications for ASTM International.
