John Amari

John Amari is an experienced professional in the fields of innovation, writing, and community building. As a co-founder and co-producer of Kyoto Game Jam, John plays a pivotal role in facilitating a hackathon that unites various creatives to address social issues through gamification. Additionally, John serves as an open innovation consultant at Mash Tokyo, focusing on Japan's collaborative innovation ecosystem, while contributing as a writer for Global Finance Magazine and WIRED, covering finance and technology trends in Asia. John is also a co-founder of MoTKY, a community aimed at connecting young creatives in Tokyo to foster new social value through storytelling and collaboration. With previous roles including a public relations specialist at the Kavli Institute and experience in business development and innovation consulting, John holds a Graduate Diploma in Law from BPP Law School and a BA in History from the University of London.
