Senior editor John Gravois assigns and edits long-form features. Previously he was the deputy editor of Pacific Standard magazine and an editor at Washington Monthly. He was also a reporter at newspapers in Abu Dhabi and Cambodia. His 2014 feature, “A Toast Story,” was anthologized in that year’s Best Business Writing and Best Food Writing and became a segment on This American Life. He lives in Albany, California, with his wife and two daughters.
