Sander Ruben has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Sander started their career in 2012 as an intern in Industrial Automation at Embee & Schoenmakers B.V. In 2014, they had an internship at Vitelec B.V., where they gained experience in wireless sensor networks and programming bluetooth chips. Sander also had an internship at Avans Lectoraat Robotica & Mechatronica, focusing on object recognition.

In 2015, Sander worked as an intern in robot programming at Lectoraat Robotics and High Tech Mechatronics. From 2016 to 2017, they were a Junior Software Engineer at Axon Digital Design B.V., where they developed applications for live video broadcasting equipment using C++/Qt and agile methodologies.

In 2018, Sander worked as a Freelance Embedded Software Engineer at MANUS™. Then, from 2019 to 2021, they worked as a Research Assistant at Tampere University, specifically in the CPC-VGA research group. Sander contributed to the development and maintenance of the retargetable compiler TCE and focused on LLVM and computer architectures.

In 2022, Sander joined Etteplan as a SW Design Engineer, where they worked until August. Currently, they work at Wirepas as a Software Design Engineer.

Sander Ruben obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Mechatronics from Avans University of Applied Sciences from 2009 to 2015. Sander then pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Embedded Systems from Eindhoven University of Technology, completing it from 2017 to 2021. In 2021, Sander attended Arffman Finland to pursue a Finnish language program known as "Asiantuntija-alojen kotoutumiskoulutus verkossa", which they completed in 2022. Additionally, in December 2022, they obtained a certification in Agile Software Development from LinkedIn.
