Thomas Weisshaupt

Thomas Weisshaupt serves as the Head of D-A-CH at Wirepas since September 2017, overseeing activities in Germany, Switzerland, and Austria, and providing thought leadership in the global energy segment. Prior to this role, Weisshaupt held the position of Director Markets Smart Energy and IoT at Gemalto, where responsibilities included establishing market presence in the energy sector and contributing to cybersecurity standards for smart meters. Weisshaupt's earlier experience includes roles at Tieto, UGW AG, Deutsche Bahn AG, and as a research assistant at the European Business School, all focused on smart energy, business development, and strategic consulting. Educational qualifications include a degree in Business Administration from EBS Universität für Wirtschaft und Recht and additional studies in social architecture, psychology, and ongoing education at the University of California, Berkeley, and Burgundy School of Business.
