Raf Cleemput

Raf Cleemput is currently the Head of Risk and Compliance Switzerland at Wise, a position held since January 2022. Prior experience includes serving as the Head of Regulatory Compliance at HSBC Commercial Banking from October 2017 to December 2021, where responsibilities included chairing the Regulatory Risk Committee and managing compliance frameworks. Before HSBC, Raf was a Manager in the Financial Crime Unit at PwC New York, focusing on compliance, project delivery, and financial management, and also worked as a Senior Associate at PwC Brussels. Raf began the career as an Analyst at Accenture in Management Consulting, emphasizing process improvements for financial services clients. Educational achievements include a Master's degree in Business Economics from KU Leuven, completion of Level 3 at the CFA Institute, and certification as an Anti-Money Laundering Specialist from ACAMS.
