Renos Karamanis

Renos Karamanis, PhD, is currently the Lead Data Scientist at Wise, specializing in the fintech industry. Renos has demonstrated expertise in building data pipelines, designing data architectures, and creating machine learning models in production environments, particularly in the areas of liquidity and foreign exchange. Renos's academic background includes a PhD in Operations Research from Imperial College London, where they also earned a Master of Engineering in Civil Engineering. Prior to their role at Wise, Renos worked in various positions, including as a Quantitative Modeller at Simudyne and a Research Assistant on projects related to shared autonomous vehicles. Renos's experience also includes several engineering internships and military service as a soldier in the Army National Guard.
