Ryo Ishimoto

Ryo Ishimoto is currently a Compliance Officer at Wise since January 2023. Prior experience includes serving as Section Chief at the Cabinet Secretariat, Government of Japan, where Ryo led a $3 billion COVID Testing project, managing operations and communications. Previously, Ryo was also Section Chief at the Financial Services Agency, Japan, overseeing the Climate Change Task Force and successfully publishing the agency's first supervisory guidance on climate change. Earlier roles at the Financial Services Agency included International Insurance Regulations Officer, contributing to global regulatory discussions, and Human Resources Officer, where Ryo facilitated recruitment initiatives. Ryo holds an MBA from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor's degree in Economics from The University of Tokyo.
