Evgeny Stepanov

Evgeny Stepanov currently serves as a Distinguished Research Scientist at WISEcode since December 2023. Previously, Evgeny held various positions at VUI, Inc. from December 2017 to November 2023, including Principal Research Scientist and Manager, Lead Research Scientist & Manager, Senior Research Scientist, and Consultant. Evgeny possesses substantial academic experience, having worked as a Teaching Assistant and Post-Doctoral Researcher at Università degli Studi di Trento from February 2013 to September 2022, focusing on discourse parsing and summarization within the SENSEI project, as well as managing research for the PortDial project. Earlier positions include Teaching Assistant roles at Università degli Studi di Trento and METU College, as well as an internship at Loquendo. Evgeny holds a Ph.D. in Information Technology from Università degli Studi di Trento (2014) and multiple degrees in Human Language Technology, Cognitive Science, and Foreign Language Education from distinguished institutions.
