Benoit Makowka

Benoit Makowka serves as the Vice President of the IoT Business Unit at WISeKey SA since September 2016, focusing on developing scalable and modular end-to-end solutions based on PKI technology for the Internet of Things. With experience as Director of Product Management for Embedded IoT at INSIDE Secure since October 2010, Benoit combines secure software solutions and hardware IP cores to create innovative products for IoT devices. Previously, Benoit held several positions at Atmel from 1992 to 2010, culminating as Marketing and Application Director, where strategic shifts toward high-margin, security-focused products resulted in significant market success. Early career experience includes marketing roles at ES2, developing a regional business in mixed-signal ASIC with revenue achievements close to $30 million annually. Benoit holds education credentials from Ecole des Mines d'Alès acquired between 1990 and 1992.
