Alan Chan

Alan Chan is an experienced Engineering Manager with a robust background in software development and team leadership. At Wish, since June 2022, Alan oversees engineering operations. Prior experience includes serving as an Engineering Manager/Tech Lead and Senior Software Engineer at Uplift Inc. (October 2019 - June 2022) and as a Software Engineering Team Lead and Software Engineer at OANDA (March 2013 - October 2019), where Alan managed cross-functional teams to enhance trading features and led the development of key software solutions. Alan’s extensive expertise also encompasses roles at IBM Canada Ltd. (May 2005 - March 2013) as a Staff Software Developer and Software Developer, focusing on database systems and automation infrastructure. Alan holds a BASc in Computer Engineering from the University of Toronto (2002 - 2007).
