Lead Flight Test Engineer at Wisk

Mark Vujicic has a diverse range of work experience in the aviation industry. Mark is currently working as a Lead Flight Test Engineer at Wisk, where they are responsible for leading flight test programs on multiple clean sheet designs for autonomy, electric, and vtol aircraft. Prior to this, they worked at the International Test Pilots School (ITPS Canada Ltd) as a CAT 1 long course Flight Test Student and later as a Lead Flight Test Engineer, overseeing the full certification program of a Part 29, 8-ton, multi-engine, 18 passenger helicopter. Before that, Mark worked at Mitsubishi Aircraft Corporation as a Flight Test Engineer, focusing on development and certification flight testing of a clean sheet design part 25 transport jet aircraft. Mark also gained experience as an Experimental Flight Test Engineer at Pilatus Aircraft Ltd. Mark's career began in 2003 as a Commercial Pilot, where they accumulated over 2000 hours of flight time and specialized in air charter services in the Australian outback. Mark has also worked in various other roles, including Automation Engineer at Applimed SA, Rocket Engine Engineer and Tester at Swiss Propulsion Laboratory, and Mechatronics Developer at Campus Biotech Tissue Engineering Laboratory. Overall, Mark has a strong background in flight testing, avionics, and engineering in the aviation industry.

Mark Vujicic has a Bachelor of Science degree in Aviation from Edith Cowan University, which they obtained from 2005 to 2009. Mark also holds a Diploma in Aeronautics from TAFE NSW, completed in 2004. Mark further pursued their education at the University of Applied Sciences Western Switzerland (HES-hepia) and earned a B. Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from 2011 to 2015, with a focus on Aeronautics, Experimental Fluid Mechanics, and Thermodynamics. In 2014, they participated in a student exchange program at the Andøya Space Center to study Rocket Launching. Mark's academic journey continued as a researcher student at the Graduate Aerospace Laboratories of the California Institute of Technology in 2015, where they studied Mechanical Engineering and Aeronautics. Mark later pursued an MSc in Aerospace Dynamics at Cranfield University from 2016 to 2017, specializing in Flight Dynamics, Control Theory, and Experimental Flight Test Methods. Additionally, they participated in a Summer School in Astronautics & Propulsion Systems at the Executive IT School of Beijing University of Aeronautics & Astronautics in 2014.
