Michael Johnson

Michael Johnson is a seasoned aerospace engineer with extensive experience in systems and software engineering, particularly in the autonomous aviation sector. Currently serving as Manager of Systems and Software Engineering at Wisk, Michael oversees a large team dedicated to the development of the Remote Supervision capability for the Wisk Gen 6 autonomous aircraft. Prior roles at Wisk include Supervisor, where responsibilities encompassed defining technical roadmaps, cross-functional hiring, compliance with industry standards, and providing mentoring to engineers. Previous experience at Honeywell involved advanced systems engineering roles focused on avionics integration and emergency features for general aviation, where Michael led cross-functional teams, developed system requirements, and improved processes that resulted in significant cost savings. Michael holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Kansas.
