Michael B. has over 20 years of professional work experience. Michael started their career in 1999 as a Web Designer for ICityOnline.com, Inc. Michael then moved to Envirium Interactive as a Senior Web Designer in 2000. In 2001, they worked as a Web Designer for GoMarketFire Consulting Group. Michael was then a Web Developer for Crisp Brands in 2002. In 2003, they worked as a UX Design Lead for Packadeal.com. Michael then moved to Zippi.com as Creative Director in 2005. In 2006, they were a Director of Design & User Experience for Coregenic. From 2008 to 2014, they worked for Microsoft in various roles such as Creative Director, Senior User Experience Designer, Senior Technical Product Manager, and Technical Product Manager. Since 2014, they have been working as Co-Founder / CDO, Head of Design for Joy.

Michael B. attended Troy High School before enrolling at California State University, Fullerton where they studied Computer Science from 1999 to 2001. Michael then attended the Art Institute of California and obtained a Bachelor of Science in Design in 2003. In 2016, they attended Y Combinator.
