Damian Błażejewski

Damian Błażejewski has been working in the software engineering field since 2008. Damian began their career as a Software Engineer at Kredyt Bank, where they used Java, C++, Cobol, and Mainframes to develop money transfer systems and complex insurance platforms. In 2010, they moved to CompuGroup Medical Polska as a Software Developer, where they worked on a module of a complex hospitality information system using Java, Spring, and Adobe Flex. In 2012, they joined IT BPS Sp. z o.o. as a Software Designer/Software Developer/Scrum Master. There, they were involved in developing a successful money dealing platform using JavaEE/Spring stack. In 2014, they began working at Mobica as a Senior Software Engineer, where they were one of the technical leaders in a few successful projects for a big telecom company. Finally, in 2015, they joined Withlocals as a Senior Software Developer, where they are part of a team working on an online platform connecting travelers with local people and guides across the world. Damian works with technologies such as Scala, Akka, Akka Streams, AWS and Google Cloud, reactive streams, serverless architecture and React.

Damian Błażejewski obtained a Master of Science in Information Technology from the Lublin University of Technology between 2004 and 2009. In 2007 and 2008, they completed a Cisco CCNA course at The University College of Enterprise and Administration in Lublin. In addition, they hold certifications from Lightbend, Inc., Coursera, edX, Scrum.org, and University of Cambridge Local Examinations Syndicate. These certifications include Reactive Architecture(1): Introduction to Reactive Systems, Reactive Architecture: Domain Driven Design - Level 2, Big Data Analysis with Scala and Spark, Programming Reactive Systems, Functional Programming Principles in Scala, Professional Scrum Master I, and Certificate in Advanced English (CAE).
