Ian Lyons

Ian Lyons has a diverse work experience starting with their role as the Co-founder & Head of Engineering at Luminary in 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Blend from 2014 to 2022, where they held various positions including Sr. Staff Software Engineer, Engineering Group Manager, Engineering Manager, and Software Engineer. At Blend, Ian contributed to technical solutions and product initiatives, supported mobile app teams, and played a role in launching the One-tap Mortgage experience. Before Blend, Ian worked at BrightTALK from 2012 to 2014 as an Audience Engineer, where they developed a native content promotion system. Ian also worked as a Software Engineer (Contract) at Moxe Health in 2014, and as an IT Specialist at The Umbra Institute from 2010 to 2012. Ian started their career as a Public Services Assistant at Wheaton College Library Information Services from 2007 to 2010.

Ian Lyons obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in International Relations & Italian Studies from Wheaton College Massachusetts, graduating in the year 2010. In 2014, they attended Hack Reactor, although no specific degree or field of study is provided. Additionally, Ian had brief educational experiences in Italy. In 2009, they studied Cultura Italiana at Università per Stranieri di Perugia for a year. In 2008, they studied Political Science at Università degli Studi di Firenze, and also spent a semester studying Italian at Middlebury College.
