Tomasz Szmidt

Tomasz Szmidt has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Tomasz currently serves as the Data Science Team Lead at WithSecure, a position they assumed in November 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Vestas as a Cyber Security Data Scientist / Analyst from November 2020 to October 2022. Before their role at Vestas, they worked as a Data Scientist at Atos from January 2019 to October 2020. Tomasz also has experience as a Founder of Think English from January 2014 to January 2019. Tomasz started their career as a Business English Teacher at Career Center from April 2012 to December 2013. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Web and Graphic Designer at Arte Advertising Agency from February 2011 to March 2012 and as a Radio Presenter at Polskie Radio Szczecin S.A. from January 2010 to December 2011.

Tomasz Szmidt obtained a Bachelor's degree in the Study of English from Pomorska Akademia Pedagogiczna w Słupsku in 2006. Tomasz then pursued a Master's degree in the Study of English from Uniwersytet Szczeciński from 2009 to 2011. Following that, they earned an Engineer's degree in Civil Engineering from West Pomeranian University of Technology in Szczecin from 2011 to 2017. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications, including one in Penetration Testing - Discovering Vulnerabilities from New York University in 2021, Virtual Industrial Control Systems Cybersecurity (301V) Training from the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency in 2021, and an AWS Certified Machine Learning - Specialty certification from Linux Academy in 2020.
