Our story together began nearly twenty years ago as colleagues on the environmental law team at Milwaukee’s Gonzalez Saggio & Harlan. We each took different paths in the years that followed - Heather as a law professor and as environmental counsel for a major spirits company; Ned through nine years at Godfrey & Kahn - before reconnecting in 2025 as partners at Earth & Water Law. That reunion confirmed what we’d long suspected: we make an excellent partnership.

At 𝗪𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗲 𝗗𝗮𝘃𝗶𝘀 𝗟𝗮𝘄, we counsel clients on the full spectrum of environmental regulatory and litigation matters, including:
 • PFAS - regulation, litigation, transactions, and compliance (including product restrictions, labeling, and consumer warning, similar to our non-PFAS work under state programs such as California Prop 65 and Extended Product Responsibility standards)
 • Complex remediation, Brownfields, and Superfund defense
 • RCRA compliance and hazardous waste
 • Air permitting and enforcement defense
 • Wetland and riparian property regulation
 • Wisconsin Local Government Unit cost recovery
 • Environmental auditing, due diligence, and transactional counseling

Licensed in WI, NC, KY, OR, and TX, we serve clients navigating both state and federal environmental requirements wherever those matters take us.
