Jörg B. has a wealth of work experience. Jörg began their career in 1994 as a Research Employee at TU Dortmund University, where they conducted research on wireless in-house multimedia networks, wireless channel measurements and modeling, and taught senior students in the area of digital signal transmission and coding. In 1999, they joined Nokia as a Principal Architect and Principal Member of Research Staff. In 2011, they became Chief Architect and Chairman of the Technical Work Group at the Car Connectivity Consortium (CCC), where they were the lead editor, main contributor, and chief architect of all technical specifications for MirrorLink (formerly known as Terminal Mode). In 2014, they joined Microsoft as the Standardization Director, Automotive and Principal Architect. In 2015, they became Chief Architect and Co-founder of Wivity Inc., where they developed cybersecurity solutions for Distributed Energy Resource (DER) devices, and in the same year they also became System Architect at E-Qualus Partners, LLC. In 2017, they joined IconicC as an Advisor, supporting them in making their vision of "Connecting Vehicles for Business" a reality.
Jörg B. obtained a Dr.-Ing in Electrical Engineering from TU Dortmund University in 1999, after completing a Dipl.-Ing in the same field from the same university in 1994.
